Abstract:
The objectives of this research are to (1) explore how strategic resource management contributes to achieving competitive advantage, (2) identify the key resources that drive competitive advantage, and (3) assess the effectiveness of resource management strategies. A survey design was employed to collect data from a large and diverse group of respondents. A sample size of 380 respondents, derived using Taro Yamane's formula, ensured statistical significance. The research focused on construction companies in Kaduna, Nigeria, where resource management is critical. The reliability coefficient score of the survey was 0.88. The findings revealed that strategic resource management significantly contributes to competitive advantage by optimizing the use of financial, human, and technological resources. It is recommended that organizations implement robust resource management frameworks, regularly evaluate resource utilization, and invest in resource optimization technologies to sustain their competitive edge.
